Again a journey...

I simply LOVE this pic. The waves are great, suggesting a wild sea. The red background, viewed through the jail-like-window tells about something cursed... maybe the sky itself?
Again, this makes my mind wandering around in fantasy. Great work!

automagicashie responds:

Wandering around in a fantasy! The paintings might come together into an Odyssey-like journey!

Inspiration. Thanks for the comment!

Imaging...

Mountains... for me, it looks like that. The green ones are smaller and the blue ones tower over them. I like the "shading" of the blue constructs, if one can call it this. It think this picture takes one's mind to a journey...

automagicashie responds:

Thanks for the insightful thoughts. I want to take this picture a step further someday, somehow. I hope the shading added depth, maybe I could intensify that a little more. Thanks again!

Great

I totally have to agree with you on your comment... Tigers and cats are fascinating...
The tiger itself is well done, you did a great job there. I also like the background, it suggests, deep and dark jungle and gives the picture something mysterious.
Just one question: What were the techniques you used for this?

automagicashie responds:

Thank you for the insightful comments! Glad to know the background works ;)

I used acrylic paint on primed paper, but before that I actually sketched the tiger roughly with ballpoint pen to get the feel for it, and after that worked intermittently on painting the background and the tiger's body.

It took a few hours of work, but I feel content with the outcome.

Good

For you first attempt in drawing a person, I have to admit it is astonishing. But as you wrote, I would be happy to give you some advice about this:
The upper curve you made in the nose looks a little bit odd. just make the line straight, this will look better.
The right line of the face is too straight, then. The line should come forward at the forehead to the brows, then at the eyes make a small curve in the inward direction, then a curve in the outward direction, to draw the cheekbone. Then make the line again straight until you reach the chin.
The shading is good and you definitely have great talent.
For the tiger - I LOVE IT! KEEP IT UP!

thanx dude and i can see wat ur sayin bout the right side of the face and ive been tryin to wrk on tht recently, but the nose is kinda meant to b lik tht cus i was actually drawing a friend of mine and he has a bit of a slant to his nose lik tht but now tht u say it, it does seem lik "too" much of a slant.....but ill keep those things in mind nxt time

Wow

Finally, I found another Wh40k-fan. I love the shading in the picture and the style is incredible. Simply perfect. Wish I could do such a pic. ;)

<deleted> responds:

Thanks man, trying to put the grimdark back in 40k :P

Different

This is a pic to think about. I have now looked several minutes at it and still I guess I haven't seen everything. Fascinating.

Jean-Raymond responds:

precognized with a cool music ;-))

Nice

I love the way you did the lighting and I have to admire your finesse with ink pens. Shadowing with these things is extremely complicated, as I had to learn. ;) Keep it up.

acid-burn responds:

thanks dude, but its not really hard to shade with markers if you have a dark one, the markers i use the most are a set of six markers each with a different shade of gray, but thanks for the review, keep tuned in

Cool

Yeah, that is what metal is like. ;) He looks like he is enjoying himself. Great pic.

xcesarx responds:

Anyone who plays metal with passion draws this smile, it's pure power!!! heheh

Astonishing

Wow, I love the scenery. It is so peaceful and quiet and reminds me of Fangorn in "Lord of the Rings".

BenTibbetts responds:

Interesting comparison. Thanks.

Cute

This is a great pic! I love the position of the figure and the fur.
If you would put her a jeans-skirt and maybe blue shoes on, I guess it would look better. But at last, this is your choice. ;)

Razac responds:

I can try a denim skirt and blue shoes

Always hungry. ;)
